Questions about software development
How much does software development cost?
The investment depends on the functional scope, integrations and quality requirements. Design, testing, launch and maintenance also matter. In an initial conversation, we discuss your situation and budget before defining the first phase. We do not use a single starting price for very different projects.
How long does it take to develop software?
A compact application needs a different schedule from a business-critical platform. Depending on scope and complexity, development can take weeks or months. AI agents can accelerate development tasks, but alignment, testing, integrations and user feedback still take time. We make the assumptions behind the schedule explicit.
Can you strengthen our existing development team?
Yes. We can add expertise to your own team or take on a temporary project. Together, we agree on the scope, team structure, responsibilities and ways of working. We share product knowledge and technical decisions with your people.
When should we choose custom software over an existing solution?
Custom software is worth considering when existing products do not fit your processes, user experience or proposition. Standard software can be a good choice for common functions. We assess which parts to buy, integrate or develop and compare the longer-term costs.
How do we retain control over quality, budget and ownership?
We agree on priorities, acceptance criteria and decision points. Demonstrations and visibility into progress help you adjust direction. We also discuss source code, documentation, licences, access to environments and handover upfront, so responsibilities and dependencies are clear.
Do we need Product Discovery first?
Not always. Discovery can help when goals, scope or technical assumptions are still unclear. If you already have a well-founded roadmap or a defined project, we assess what is needed to start responsibly. The introductory meeting helps identify the right next step.
Do you also develop software that is not a SaaS product?
Yes. We also build business applications, customer portals, integrations and other custom digital products. A SaaS platform is one of these applications. Together, we determine which solution, team setup and technical approach fit your organisation.
